Community Guidelines
Move together. Look out for each other.
Egen Active is a place to find activities, places and people, and to build a community around staying active. To keep it safe and welcoming, everyone follows these guidelines. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.

Treat people with respect
Be kind and assume good intent. Disagreement is fine; harassment, bullying, threats and intimidation are not.
What's not allowed
These are the rules we act on. If we ever take action on your account, we'll tell you which one, in the same words you see here.
- Harassment or bullying
- Targeting someone with insults, threats, repeated unwanted contact or humiliation.
- Hateful conduct
- Attacking people for who they are, such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender or disability.
- Unwanted sexual content
- Sending sexual messages, images or advances to someone who has not welcomed them.
- Violence or threats
- Threatening or encouraging violence against anyone.
- Spam
- Repeated, unsolicited or misleading messages and posts.
- Scams or fraud
- Trying to get money, financial details or ID numbers by deception.
- Impersonation
- Pretending to be another person or organisation.
- Safety of young people
- Any conduct that puts a young person at risk.
- Privacy
- Sharing someone's private information or images without consent.
Sexually explicit content, nudity, graphic violence, illegal content and anything you don't have the right to share are never allowed either.
Report anything that crosses the line
Every profile, message and post has a Report option. If something breaks these guidelines, report it and our team will review it. We never tell the other person who reported them.
Block anyone who bothers you
You can block anyone from their profile or a conversation. Blocking removes them from your feed and messages straight away, and you can manage blocked accounts from Settings. Blocking is private and isn't a report, so if someone has broken these guidelines, report them too.
What happens when someone breaks them
We review reports and act quickly. Content that breaks these guidelines is removed. What happens to the account depends on how serious it was and what has happened before, and we usually start small.
A warning
For a first or minor issue we usually start with a warning. Nothing on your account is limited, but it counts if things happen again.
Limits on features
If it happens again, we may limit one thing for a set time, such as sending messages, commenting, posting, or following people and giving kudos. Everything else keeps working.
A suspension
For repeated or more serious issues we may suspend the account for a set time. While suspended you can't post, comment, message, follow or give kudos, and your posts are hidden from others.
Permanent suspension
Kept for serious harm, such as threats of violence, putting a young person at risk, or scams. A person on our team always makes this decision, and you can still appeal it.
Whenever we act on your account we tell you, in the app and by email: which guideline was broken, the content involved, what is limited and until when. Issues from the last six months count towards what happens next. A decision that is reversed on appeal doesn't count at all.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal within 30 days. Use the Appeal button in the email we sent you, or go to Settings, then Account status, in the app. Tell us what happened in your own words.
A person on our team reads every appeal and emails you the decision. If we reverse it, any limits are lifted straight away and it won't count against your account.
